I know I know...

I have been a terrible blogger lately. I promise to be better. Lets see, since the last time I posted not a lot has happened. We have started watching Maddie on a regular basis. I have her Mondays, Wednesdays and every other Tuesday. Brody has been pretty good with her. There is definitely a little jealousy, but like I said I think it's good practice for when we decide to have another baby. The other day when she left he wanted to get in the swing, which he is WAY to big for. It was pretty funny. Looking at the picture I really notice just how big he is. Then for Valentine's weekend, Mark's brother Ryan came to visit. He got here on Friday. They met up with Tim and all went downtown for a boys night. Saturday was Valentine's Day, Ryan watched Brody and Mark and I went to the Alamo for a late lunch and movie. We saw He's Just Not that into You, we both thought it was really cute. Mark proposed 7 years ago on Valentine's Day, boy how time flies. Saturday night Shara came over and we all just hung out at the house. Sunday was pretty lazy we had an early dinner at Chuy's which is quickly becoming one of my favorite place to eat in Austin. On Monday, Mark met us for lunch and then we took Ryan to the airport. It was a quick trip but lots of fun. Brody really bonded with Ryan, I think he was sad to see him go. Then we had a pretty quiet week. On Saturday, Mark played golf with Tim and his dad and then Dusty and Christa came up to visit. We made really yummy braised short ribs and played games. Christa's pregnancy is going well, we are so excited for them, I can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl. This week is pretty quiet, no plans yet for the weekend. I posted a couple of videos of Brody just being cute. I know both grandmas are having Brody withdrawal so I thought it might help.

We are only letting him have his pacifier because he is teething and it's either he chews on that or his Hotwheels.

This was his favorite game to play with uncle Ryan. Who needs a stroller when you have a suitcase?

I just thought he looked cute here. It was before his haircut so he looks all shaggy.

He LOVES vacuuming. When I try to vacuum I can barely do it because he wants to be right in front of the vacuum the entire time.

My Sister is Engaged!!!

That's right my little sister is getting married. I can't believe it and I couldn't be happier for her and Shane. She called me last night to let me know that it was official. They were at the house with my parents drinking champagne and celebrating. It killed me that I couldn't be there. Syd met Shane last year. He is from South Africa and I think he is perfect for my sister. I'm so happy they found each other. Congrats you too, can't wait to start planning the wedding!

Aren't they cute!

The Zoo

On Saturday we took Brody to the zoo for the first time. He absolutely loved it. There was so much to look at and animals are his favorite thing right now. I can't even remember the last time I went to the zoo but all three of us really enjoyed it. It was a really nice family day together.

I know he doesn't look happy but he really was having fun.

He was practically standing up in his stroller.

They have an area where you can feed the animals, needless to say this was his favorite part.

I thought he would be afraid but he had NO fear.

Doing his happy dance.

These three just loved Brody, he gave them lots of food!

This one was so funny, if you look close you can see his beard on Brody's head. I was cracking up.

Feeding more goats.

I think the lions were his second favorite.

Practicing for Baby # 2

We had an interesting day today. It started with a call from Savannah asking if we would mind watching Madison for the day because her babysitter flaked on her. Brody and I were headed to the gym so we made plans to meet there after yoga. We get to the gym and there is a wait for the kids club. It only took about 10 minutes but it made me late for my class. I snuck in the back and got through about two poses when the girl from the kids club came to get me because Brody fell and his lip was bleeding. They wanted me to check and make sure it wasn't serious. He was already playing by the time I got down there but as soon as he saw me he started crying. It took about 15 minutes to calm him down and then I got to go back to my class. I was only able to do about 20 minutes of yoga but I guess that is better then nothing. Savannah got there right as we were getting out of class. She warned me that Madison was cranky, but she fell asleep in the car and slept for 3 hours. Then she woke up happy and had a bottle and then played in the swing for a little bit. I was a little nervous having two kids but she was so good, it only made me want to have another baby. Brody was really cute with her, he kept saying it's a baby and handing her his toys. I took some cute pictures of her.

Super Bowl Sunday

I'm still tired and full from Super Bowl yesterday. We had abut 16 people over. There was so much food and it was all so good. We also ended up having beautiful weather so we got to take advantage of being outside. Brody did pretty good, he has been cranky the last few days, I think we are getting more teeth. Suzzy brought they're new puppy over and Brody just loved him. I think the puppy was a little afraid of Brody. Mark and I were routing for the Cardinals but they ended up losing. It was such a great game, from what I got to see of it any way. I'm a little bummed because I missed the Transformers commercial but I'm sure it will be on again soon. Oh and we did the super bowl squares and I ended up winning $100! I was too busy to take any pictures but I promise to try and take some soon.
